Eric K Another example of human success depending on people's creativity is the rivalry game between Stanford and Cal in 1980. The bitter rivalry did not disappoint in making a dramatic game with the teams exchanging the lead multiple times, in the dying seconds, it seemed that Cal would be the sure victor, but Stanford made a crucial field goal to take the lead 2019. With only four seconds left on the clock, Cal's special team's coach Paul Thomson pulled aside his players and drew up what seemed to be an impossible play. When they received the kick-off, the players made a run for the end zone. With the clock running out, the defense swarmed the ball carrier, but at the last second he threw a lateral pass to another player. Cal threw five laterals in the single play to march their way into the end-zone and history.Thomson's incredible imagination helped himself and the team create one of the most memorable game ending plays ever.
