A Greedy Monkey
One clay, a monkey and a gorrila were playing by the side of a river. The monkey noticed a tree with plenty of peaches on the small island across the river. How he wished to have a good taste! But he could not swim across the river. Suddenly a good idea came upon his mind. He asked the gorilla to help him lay a long stick across the river so that they could share the peaches together. No sooner had the monkey gone across the river than he took the stick away. The gorilla couldn't get across the river and got angry. Then he decided to go away without helping the monkey back. The monkey ate a lot of peaches before he realized he couldn't go back home. He had nothing to do but cry alone. It really served him right.
一只貪婪的猴子
一天，猴子和大猩猩在河邊玩耍，忽然猴子看見了河邊的小島上有一棵桃樹掛滿了鮮艷的桃子。它多么希望品嘗一下啊!但它不會游泳。突然它想起了一個(gè)好主意，它請求大猩猩幫忙在河上放置一根長木棍以便過河一起吃桃子。猴子一到達(dá)河對面就把木棍扔掉了。大猩猩過不了河，非常生氣，決定再也不幫助猴子返回了，于是就離開了。這只猴子在吃了許多桃子之后才發(fā)現(xiàn)自己不能回去。但它除了哭之外什么也不能做。這回它可真的可以吃個(gè)夠了
